What do YOU do at 1 a.m.?
Well I'm normally attempting sleep.
But Not Tonight.
I'm baking.
Why, you ask?
You see, it's my baby's Valentine's Day Party at school tomorrow.
I call him "my baby" because, well, he's my 1st born.
Because he loves dinosaurs so much,
he HAD to give his own personal drawings away to his friends as valentines.
Because I love him so much that I can't hardly stand it.
Because he says things like, "you're so pretty mom", clear. out of. the blue.
(And I'm usually so far from pretty you'd jump a couple feet backward if you rang the door bell and I answered.)
And he kisses me on the lips still!
Sometimes too passionately. {laugh}
I love it!
I digress.
My lip kissing, 1st born, 5 year old and I made these
at the last minute, right before bedtime tonight.

"You are so really really super pretty", "You are the really bestest friend in the whole wide world" and "I like to play at school and follow rules with you."
That last one was a kindergartners attempt with reversed psychology.
He's giving it to a friend who, allegedly, struggles with obedience at school. {laugh}
Eric & I were unable to suppress the laughter when he got to a certain friend's valentine.
He asked me to write,
"You are so super cool! You are my friend! And you are NOT fat!
But maybe just a little. But it's okay."
I, of course, only wrote the 1st two lines.
"You are so really really super pretty", "You are the really bestest friend in the whole wide world" and "I like to play at school and follow rules with you."

Absolutely love it!!! I remember those late nights trying to get you ready for your Valentines party and make sure you had something RED to wear. Jaxon is so fun and will be such a good friend to so many. Isn't wonderful how Jaxon loves you so....cherrish those moments there priceless....I love little boys kisses.

I so needed to hear the your not fat part today. Hope you have fun at the party. They are crazy, at least in my classroom :)
I am absolutely in L.O.V.E with your Jaxon. Everything is so funny and so memorable and so....JAXON!!!! I am engraving this whole post into my memory for safe keeping and to refer to through out my life when I need a pick me up.
Thanks for saying I am not fat, but, you haven't seen me in a while. But I will believe you for today.

Jaxon is the best dinosaur drawer ever! He is the best little friend, I'm so impressed that he wanted to make his own Valentines. That is so funny that lately we have been doing the very same thing these last few days. Last night, me and the kids worked on their Valentines for each of their friends and I made Heart-shaped brownies w/ sprinkled powdered sugar. Tradition every year for Brayden's classroom, he insists upon it. I love U Jaxon! You are such a great mom Jo! Love u guys xoxox
Oh Jaxon I love you little man! I wish we could live next door to you for F O R E V E R! Mindy - you ARE an awesome mommy & I aspire to be more like you! Friends should make us want to be better versions of ourselves and you do that for me. (Even though there's that whole B.O. thing tee he he). I love that you did this for him. I totally wanna do something like this with Chloe. You rock girl!
